Shuttle Bus
Columbia Transportation provides travel options and information so the Columbia community can make safe, efficient, and timely trips to, from, and between Columbia's campuses.
Program Overview
Columbia University's Shuttle system exists to facilitate education and business for faculty, staff and students of Columbia University (CU) and Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). Upon boarding one of our shuttles riders must tap their CUID/CUIMCID on the card reader to limit misuse of the shuttles.

Intercampus Shuttles
Employees and students at the University may travel, free of charge, between the Morningside, Manhattanville, Medical Center, Harlem Hospital campuses by presenting their CU or CUIMC ID on the Intercampus Shuttle Bus.
Travel time between the CU and CUIMC main campuses is approximately 20-30 is minutes. All scheduled departure times are approximate; please allow two to three minutes variance prior to schedule departure times.
Through the academic year (August to May) there are three shuttles running (Blue, Red and Green Lines), during summer months (June, July, and August) the shuttle runs on a one bus schedule.
There is no shuttle service on University holidays.
The schedule is subject to change without notice. The driver will alert passengers as such changes occur.
Evening Shuttle Bus
A safe way to get around the Morningside Heights area at night is to use the Evening Shuttle Bus Service. Available throughout the year, the 14-passenger van is driven by a uniformed driver and is free to anyone with a valid Columbia Card. The shuttle makes scheduled stops between 6:00 pm - 4:00 am. Please allow a three-minute overlap before and after each time frame to account for unforeseen conditions. Route is subject to change due to road construction in the area.
Lamont-Morningside Heights Shuttle Bus
Columbia operates the Lamont-Doherty Shuttle Bus throughout the calendar year. The bus runs between Columbia's Morningside campus and Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory in Palisades, New York.
George Washington Bridge/Fort Lee Shuttle
The George Washington Bridge/Fort Lee shuttle provides transportation to and from CUIMC campus to the George Washington Bridge and further on to Parker Plaza at Fort Lee. The shuttle operates Monday through Friday, excluding University holidays.
Manhattanville Loop
The Manhattanville Loop Shuttle connects the Morningside and Manhattanville campuses. It operates Monday through Friday, excluding University holidays, winter break and the summer term.
